"KEEP ART HAPPENING"

Welcome to our web site!

The Arts and Education Council of Greater St. Louis funds many of the most treasured arts and arts education programs throughout our community.  We serve as an umbrella organization distributing funds to arts groups in 16 Missouri and Illinois counties.

The arts are more than listening to music and enjoying dance, theatre and the visual arts.  With your help, weekly music programs reach children residing in foster care; elementary school children create and produce original works; youth at area juvenile detention centers learn how to make positive life choices; and at-risk teens design and paint a mural for the community.

The Arts and Education Council emphasizes education and children as a key focus.  Exposure and participation in the arts help our children become better students, better citizens and better people.  The arts programs are not just for children, they are for everyone.  The Arts and Education Council supports programs that help the local arts grow and give back to our community.
